Born Christopher Gholson, better known as the iconic record producer, rapper, songwriter, and philanthropist, Drumma Boy sat down with our guest host Trish Honey for an exclusive Level21 October interview. Making hits for nearly 20 years; Drumma Boy’s legendary credits include Waka Flocka, Usher, Ledisi, Chris Brown,Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Monica, Snoop, and Kanye West to name a few.

Drumma has maintained a low-key but consistent presence, he has become as important to the genre of hip hop as a staple and a super-producer who defined a sound for an entire musical era.

During an interview with DJBooth he stated

“I came up with a lot of powerful leaders,” Drumma Boy said of the release of “Burn.” “My grandfather helped to desegregate Maryland. He was a school principal. He saw things differently. My father and other guys who were around helped me. I’ve always seen us as kings and queens.”
