With Selena Gomez’ album, Rare, Roddy Ricch’s single, “The Box” and Justin Bieber’s “Yummy” battling it out for the number one spot on the charts, the last few weeks have been a competitive time in music, with tons of new releases. Here are the projects causing the most buzz that you definitely need to check out:
Mac Miller, "Good News"
Following Mac Millers passing, his family announced that they would release his posthumous album, Circles. The first single, “Good News” comes with a music video showcasing footage of Miller in the studio.
Future f/ Drake, "Life Is Good"
Since their 2015 project, What a Time to Be Alive, Drake and Future have collaborated once again on a new single and music video, called “Life Is Good.”
Megan Thee Stallion & Normani, "Diamonds"
Megan Thee Stallion and Normani have finally collaborated on a song for the film, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn). The song is called, “Diamonds,” and it has a music video starring the two artists, interwoven with footage from the film.
Eminem made a surprise return with the single, “Darkness,” announcing his eleventh studio album Music To Be Murdered By. The song and music video tackle social issues and concludes with a message encouraging viewers to register to vote.
Halsey, "You should be sad"
Halsey released her third album Manic, a candid album detailing the fallout of a relationship. The personal album features the single, “You should be sad,” along with the previously successful single, “Without Me.”
