Young, vibrant, and full of potential are just a few words we would use to describe Yamaris Polanco, but it is her outgoing nature that characterizes her best. Polanco is originally from New York but she grew up right here in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended Garringer High School and then went on to receive her certification at Carolina School of Broadcasting. Currently, she is enrolled at Liberty University where she majors in Journalism.
When she is not working, you could find Yamaris enjoying outdoor activities, listening to music, traveling, reading, or online shopping. She has put many of her talents on display through working for local commercials, interning at Kiss 95.1 radio station, and sharing her opinions on WCCB News Charlotte with Morgan Fogarty. She has also had the opportunity to host Charlotte Vibe, where she covered the Carolina Panthers. Yamaris currently serves as an ambassador for a dynamic women’s empowerment organization called OvercomeHER where she helps make a positive impact on women.
Yamaris is a self-starter whose personal motivation is what drives her to dream big. Polanco has always loved acting; however, it is her passion for talking about entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle topics that push her towards greater goals in Media. She has also told us that she has goals to become the best On-Air Talent where she will be able to discuss entertainment, music, and lifestyle topics for a living. Yamaris has stated, “I like to be well rounded and sit at different tables so, I want to be able to polish the creative side of me as well and see what magic I can create.”
