In just a matter of months, prominent figures in the fashion industry have publicized their distance from the field. Law Roach circulated his idea of retirement via instagram last week. Last year, it was reported that Riccardo Tisci left Burberry after only a few months. Yesterday, it was announced that Jeremy Scott of Moschino will be exiting from his role after a decade tenure. Whatever the reason is for this trend, it is causing serious commotion amongst colleagues.
Why Law Roach Quit Fashion?
Law Roach broke many hearts when he announced he was leaving the industry. It all just came out of nowhere. Speculation has been surrounded around his leave however nothing was concrete until this morning. Law Roach tweeted a string of tweets this morning explaining his departure. He simply states that being overwhelmed led to his exit and how he wants to be with family. He highlights specifically being with nieces. While we would selfishly love to see his work again, we cannot argue against being with family. The real reason why Law Roach quit fashion is more than justified to me.
