PRESS RELEASE. NO GREASE BARBER SHOP
[ CHARLOTTE, NC – June 10, 2022 ] No Grease Barbershop will host a forum on June 22nd at the Brooklyn Collective, located at 229 S. Brevard Street, starting at 5 pm to celebrate 25 years in business and to kick off their crowdfunding efforts. The forum will be centered around the importance of entrepreneurship in the Black and Latino community. Launching on Silicon Prairie, No Grease will introduce a crowdfunding campaign as they celebrate 25 years in business.
What’s fitting is that the event will be held at the Brooklyn Collective, one of the last remaining buildings from the historic black neighborhood of Brooklyn located in Uptown 2nd Ward. One of the original building founders, Thaddeus Tate, happened to be a barber.” Edmund Washington, who is a franchisee of No Grease, explains.
Keynote speakers Damian and Jermain Johnson will discuss why crowdfunding is vital to their growth plan and give their first-hand account of the challenges they faced attempting to work with traditional banks and how last year’s South Park situation changed their thinking.”Crowdfunding gives accredited and non-accredited investors the opportunity to invest and become a part of the No Grease Family. We are excited to share our new technology venture and expansion plans!” States CEO Damian Johnson.
