Rihanna has officially announced the release of her new skincare line, Fenty Skin. Fenty Skin is an extension of her Fenty Beauty, cosmetics brand which has been highly sucessful.

The release of Fenty Beauty in 2017 launched a new initiative in the world of cosmetics surrounding diversity. With 40 shades of foundation in Fenty Beauty’s initial launch, Rihanna put pressure on cosmetics brands to be more inclusive of all skin tones.

Since, Rihanna has not only released cosmetics that suit all skin tones, but she has also featured a diverse cast of models in her promotional content. And, with a trend in the beauty world toward more minimal makeup, fans of the beauty brand will likely gravitate toward this new line.

“I’ve been working on @fentyskin for over 2 years, perfecting formulas and creating packaging that is kind to our planet!! Formulas that work, and work well with makeup!!!” Rihanna announced on Twitter.

Everything starts with the foundation that is your skin and we all know how obsessed I am with beautiful, healthy skin- so whether you want to wear makeup, or no makeup at all, there’s always glowing skin underneath,” She continued.

Rihanna and Fenty Skin have yet to announce the official line of products that will be available at launch, however in the brand reveal video, several products are featured which appear to be a cleanser, a toner and a moisturizer. There will likely be other products included in the line, but, so far nothing is certain.

In the reveal video, not only did Rihanna feature in the video but so did the usual plethora of gorgeous models of a multitude of skin types and tones. And, for the boys interested in Fenty Skin, Lil Nas X and A$AP Rocky seemed to give their seal of approval, appearing in the video as well.

Rihanna confirmed on Twitter in an exchange with a fan that Fenty Skin is for men too, when the fan stated, “if Rihanna come out with fenty skincare line for men i’m changing my middle name to Robyn.”

Rihanna responded, stating, “”Whoever told you skincare has a gender, LIED to you! Hi Robyn! #FENTYSKIN.”

The line launches July 31, but fans who sign up get early access to shop by signing up at fentyskin.com will be able to check out the products early on July 29.
