In the mainstream consumer beauty market woman of color have a hard time finding products that match their undertones and that are good for their skin. It is important to bring attention to quality brands that do provide makeup for complexion in a variety of ranges without oxidizing AND is good for your skin.
During CIAA weekend professional cosmetics company, LimeLife by Alcone delivered a beauty experience focusing on makeup application for all women of color featuring pro-Makeup Artist Danessa Myricks and I had the pleasure of being involved in creating this event. Danessa Myricks is my favorite makeup artist and I love LimeLife by Alcone. It is 90% of my kit. I wanted beauty professionals and the everyday woman to have the LimeLife and Danessa experience. Before I tell you about this event let me give you the tea on LimeLife by Alcone. If you haven’t heard of LimeLife by Alcone Alcone Co may be familiar to you.

The On the Rise Event gave guest an intimate experience with Danessa. We networked, took photos, experienced the Dynamic by Danessa Myricks Collection and the best part was the makeup demos. Danessa gave us easy to follow tips on makeup application for complexions, eyes and lips. This was also an opportunity to educate artist who non people of color about how to match complexion for women of color. Guest also had a chance to get touch-ups and color matched by pro-MUA Kat Aragon and have fun shooting with Kat’s husband and professional photographer Luis Aragon.
