On Saturday, November 23, the city of Charlotte came alive with fashion and generosity as Fashion For Hope brought together a dazzling array of celebrities, influencers, and community leaders at the 1800 Brewton Drive venue. Hosted by Hope For Harvest, a non-profit organization committed to empowering underserved youth in the area, the event was nothing short of a red carpet affair—blending high-fashion, star power, and heartfelt philanthropy. Level21 was there for an exclusive look at the glitz and the good work being done.
Under the direction of David Flowers III, in collaboration with Ralph Lauren, the event showcased the creative talent of young children through a runway show that was both inspiring and impactful. As models, including some of Hope For Harvest’s own program participants, strutted down the runway in bold, colorful looks, it was clear that the fashion wasn’t just about style—it was a statement of empowerment, giving a voice to those who often go unheard.

At the heart of the event was Catherine Brewton, the visionary behind Hope For Harvest. A Charlotte native and long-time music industry powerhouse as Vice President at BMI, Brewton has channeled her star-studded network and industry know-how into creating a powerful platform for underserved youth. “This Thanksgiving, let’s turn gratitude into action,” Brewton told the crowd, reminding everyone of the importance of giving back. “Every dollar donated today helps nourish the dreams of our youth. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community.”
The celebrity guest list was a who’s who of entertainment and sports, adding extra sparkle to an already glittering afternoon. Among the attendees were Laurieann Gibson, the famed choreographer and TV personality, gospel sensation Evvie McKinney, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton, legendary producer and DJ Mannie Fresh. The red carpet was an all-star affair, and the excitement was palpable as the stars mingled, posed for photos, and showed their support for the cause.

The event featured more than just a fashion show; it was a celebration of the community’s spirit. Special performances punctuated the afternoon, including music that echoed the organization’s mission to uplift and empower Charlotte’s youth. For many, it was a reminder of how fashion and philanthropy can intersect in beautiful, transformative ways.
With the success of the day, all proceeds from the event went directly to Hope For Harvest’s programs, which provide free meals, clothing, after-school programs, and performing arts opportunities for children in need. Brewton and her team are committed to nurturing the talents and dreams of Charlotte’s youth through education, mentorship, and access to the arts.
As the event came to a close, the sense of joy was infectious. Charlotte’s brightest stars, both on the runway and in the audience, had come together to raise not only funds but awareness for a cause that is truly changing lives. In a world that often feels divided, Fashion For Hope was a shining example of how fashion, celebrity, and community can unite to create meaningful change.
