11TH ANNUAL QUEEN CITY AWARDS PRESENTED BY THE KONNECTED FOUNDATION INC HONORING COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

The Konnected Foundation INC will be honoring community leaders and achievers in their 11th Annual Queen City Awards Presentation in Charlotte, North Carolina December 16, 2017.  With the endorsement for the event given by Mayor Jennifer Roberts, The Konnected Foundation will be awarding the Community Leader Award to Ace & TJ for their great work heading Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids. Included among the Honorees is Anthony Hamilton with the Trendsetter Award for his hard work in the music industry. A special musical tribute performance for Anthony Hamilton will be performed by The Hamiltones. VIP reception sponsored by Zaxby’s from 5pm-6pm (VIP Guest)  Red Carpet event will be held from 6pm-7pm Award Ceremony 7:15-10:15  After Party/Interviews 10:15-Midnight  The nights event will take place at Oasis Shriner which is located on 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC. The Queen City Awards is an unprecedented event that joined the Charlotte community and entertainment industry together. It was hugely successful right away and in following years revenue and attendance has doubled. It is still considered the biggest annual industry event in the region leading to the milestone of our former Mayor Anthony Foxx proclaiming every 2nd Saturday in December as Queen City Awards Day. About Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids: Established in 2000, Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing a magical, all-expense paid, 5-day experience at Walt Disney World for children between the ages of 5-12 who are terminally ill or chronically disabled and their immediate family. About Anthony Hamilton: Hamilton’s decorated catalog includes his 2003 debut, Comin’ From Where I’m From (which carried the hit title track), 2005’s Ain’t Nobody Worryin’ among other efforts. He has earned several Grammy nominations, like “Po’ Folks,” the 2002 Nappy Roots collaboration that earned a nod for best rap/sung collaboration, and won his first trophy in 2009 for best traditional R&B vocal performance for his duet with Al Green on “You’ve Got The Love I Need.” He has also lent his vocals to a variety of talent includingNas, Rick Ross, Carlos Santana, Jill Scott, Tupac, and Al Green to name a few.
