Samad M., of Atlanta, Georgia at just 18 years young; ready to dive right into the music industry as a free style rap artist, “lyrics first”

Samad, has an Islamic name  meaning, divine king a form of God has began his reign in Georgia.  Tell us a little about yourself.

“Well, I’ve always enjoyed rapping, especially listening to different artists when I was younger. I listened to De La Soul, ATribe Called Quest, 2 Live Crew, and Biggie Smalls; The Notorious B.I.G. Now, I really enjoy 2Chainz, Jeg, ScHoolboy Q., Iasaiah Rashad, and Kendrick Lamar. There are so many I like.  I started battling with my friends when I was younger. Even now, we just call each other and go at it. I began loving music in my youth, but started writing music last year at age 17.

Who or what motivates you to write music or free style?

“I’m influenced by everyday living. I can go outside and see nature and just start rapping about it. Trees birds, everything about nature I enjoy. I believe we need to take care of the world since we all have to live in this world, we might as well take care of it.

Yes indeed, those are words similar to my boy Michael Jackson. I love it!

“Yes, I rap about good and bad situations, just different lessons in life”.

That’s a plus; especially when there are many who appreciate artists speaking on situations that “hit close to home”. It humanizes you that much more.

“Yes, I have plenty to rap about, from living in Georgia and North Carolina; I have experienced life in both places”.

What are your future goals?

“I just want more people to be aware of my music. I have an EP (extended play) out right now, but I am working on my full length tape”.

What are the current releases you have at this time, and where can we find your music?

“You can find my music on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, any social media music or streaming network; my music is there. I have a few releases out at this time: Jumping, Get Money, Bridge, Stress, Clues, and Where. I did a couple of the songs with friends.

How can people reach you?

We look forward to your album release and wishing you the best.

A brief moment with Samad not only stamped our view on the artist as a humble and hard working individual, but he gave us hope in natural talent; with the lack of lyricism in hip hop, we are sure Samad  will be a breath of fresh air.
