For creatives, inspiration runs through our veins. We see beauty in the darkness and the light. Inspiration can be hard to find sometimes. Like finding a vein to take blood, it’s risky, and you might have to try more than once. When the inspiration is there, but the motivation isn’t, there’s no spark. Even if you’re not creative, you can probably relate. Sometimes it’s when you’ve got an idea, but you don’t know where to start to implement it. Sometimes it’s when you are trying to articulate words, but they aren’t coming out the way you want. Sometimes it’s when you’re writing that fifteen-page paper the night before it’s due (don’t lie, we’ve all done it.) Everyone has moments where you have so much you want to do, but you don’t know how you can do it. I know I have my own ways of finding a spark of inspiration, but I’m always up for help along the way.
Here are three quotes to ignite a fire when you need a little inspiration:
I’ve learned to tell people how you feel when you feel it, because you never know how much time you have with them. I think this quote really speaks to this. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Man, Dumbledore spoke truth into us! Harry Potter is my favorite book series, and this is one of my favorite quotes.
Dumbledore coming through again! This quote has resonated a lot with me as an individual with a disability. Your abilities do not define who you are.
