3 Mantras For Stress

From our careers to our personal lives, stress is everywhere. It can be found in every season of our lives and can take many forms.  The root of the cause can sometimes be unknown unless we dig deep. I’ve been under a lot of stress lately, and this weekend my reoccurring stomach problems have come back. There were things that I wasn’t able to complete because of it. One of the most important things with mental health and stress (and anything related) is knowing your limits. You have to be able to ask for help when you need it and to advocate for yourself. You are not weak for doing this. Honestly, this is one of the strongest things you can do for yourself. There are times when your situation might feel like it won’t end and the pain & sorrow will never go away.  You are valid in feeling that way. 

 

Here are three mantras to help you get through a stressful time:

 

1. 

We go through so much in our lives. When we decide to learn and grow from our experiences rather than live in the past, it can be healthy. I’m not an expert at this. I’m still learning why this is important.  But growing as a person helps you grow as a friend, as a leader, and as a person.

 

2. 

I hate to break it to you, but you won’t always be happy. That’s okay.  It will find you again, of that I’m sure.

 

3. 

There are times when we don’t know what the heck is going on or why. It doesn’t make sense, and we take unnecessary amounts of time trying to figure out why things are happening the way that they are. This quote says it all: Trust the process. Things might not happen the way you want them to, but they happen the way they are supposed to.
