The Charlotte Fashion Collective recently hosted “The Sound of Fashion,” its annual fashion show supporting Safe Alliance while celebrating diversity, innovation, and artistic excellence within the local fashion industry. This high-energy event honored designers, models, and creators of all shapes, sizes, and ages, showcasing fashion as an art form that embraces inclusivity. The night emceed by Charlotte Hornet Host Jacinda Jacobs also featured awards recognizing individuals who have been instrumental in the Collective’s expansion and impactful contributions to the Charlotte fashion scene.

Among the honorees was Jo Hayes, a photographer featured on the previous cover of Level21, who took home the Photographer of the Year award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to fashion photography. A special highlight of the evening was an exclusive glimpse backstage, where we met with students from the Northwest School of the Arts Design Department. Guided by passionate instructors, these students added an inspiring and fresh perspective to the show.
