In-person award shows and the red carpet looks that go along with it are back in circulation and oh how we’ve missed them! With the lack of red carpet events, celebrities are under more pressure than ever to make a big splash with show-stopping looks. Many celebrities hit the mark this year with a perfect mix of trendy and trendsetting while others missed it completely. Check out our favorite ensembles of the night below along with the gallery of honorable mentions from WandaVision star, Elizabeth Olsen to the former bachelorette, Rachel Lindsey.
Triple threat, Addison Rae, appeared on the red carpet with her co-star in the new upcoming remake of 1999’s She’s all the That, Tanner Buchanan. The Louisiana native’s first look of the night featured a revealing three-piece look by Christopher Esber that gives us early 2000s vibes. Do not be surprised if you see this outfit mimicked in upcoming seasons!
Next up on my list is the cast of Outer Banks, who absolutely killed it in the style department. Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Chase Stokes, Madilyn Cline, and Jonathan Daviss all stunned, sporting outfits that had them standing out from the crowd. Daviss’s look featured a tan peacoat and leather pants, two of the hottest trends this year. Rudy Pankow wore a navy striped suit paired with a satin button-up by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and the 22-year-old actor has never looked better. Madison Bailey, 22, wore a tiered skirt from the Versace Spring/Summer 2021 line. This under the sea collection is no stranger to the red carpet as we have seen Dua Lipa, Gigi Hadid, and Tiffany Haddish wear designs from this iconic collection recently.
Our favorite on-screen turned-off-screen couple, Madelyn Cline, 23, and Chase Stokes, 28, matched in striking red outfits. Stokes wowed in an all-red Fendi suit featuring a sheer top while Cline went for a more simple yet equally sexy look wearing a Versace mini dress. The couple did not just walk away with two of the best outfits of the night but the Outer Bank co-stars also left with the MTV Best on-screen Kiss award!

The recent breakout star of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia, Antonia Gentry, kept it simple in a two-piece Valentino look paired with peep-toe Christian Louboutin heels and earrings by Messika Paris. This first-time red-carpet walker was nominated for Breakout Performance as well as a presenter for Best Musical Moment. Gentry showed that simple could still be chic as her pulled-back hair and minimal look turned heads.
