On June 28th, Level21 Media celebrated the official ribbon cutting of Set 21, a dynamic new production set inside Studio 1212. Originally built as the primary filming location for the upcoming Level21 sitcom pilot, and has quickly evolved into a creative playground for artists, filmmakers, and content creators in Charlotte and beyond. Co-Founder Tempestt Harris introduced the space by a single ribbon cut along with a few Level21 Staffers and partners.
Set 21 features a office set layout and props, commercial lighting, and versatile props that remain available for use by artists who book the space through Studio 1212. https://studio1212.format.com -The intention is clear—this isn’t just a set for one show. It’s a permanent resource designed to support the region’s growing creative economy.

At the launch event, Level21 also introduced its newest community-focused initiative: “The Set Party.” A LA & New York Normality. These events are high-energy power shoots—not parties in the traditional sense—but immersive creative sessions where multiple artists, photographers, and content creators work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The term “wings” refers to the sheer amount of content created in a short timeframe similar to power shoots, helping artists walk away with professional-quality material for social reels, portfolios, and promotional use.

Set Parties are FREE for registered artists and ticketed for spectators, creating a space where creativity and community collide. Attendees can observe the magic behind the scenes while supporting a larger cause. Proceeds benefit Community Dream Builders https://communitydreambuilders.org/ , Level21’s official 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner, which focuses on empowering underserved youth and creatives through art, media, and entrepreneurship.
“Whether you’re a fashion stylist, filmmaker, or a young artist just starting out, this is a space where your ideas can take flight—fast. That’s what we mean by wings.” -Team 21
As Level21 prepares to film its first sitcom pilot, the organization remains committed to uplifting the creative culture around it -standing as both a production set and a launchpad—blurring the lines between film, photography, and community-driven art.
